Chile Takes a Stand
Chile and Colombia have made a strong statement against Israel's ongoing aggression towards Gaza by withdrawing their ambassadors. This decision comes after the devastating loss of over 8,500 lives, with the majority being innocent women and children.
Chilean President Gabriel Boric expressed his country's disapproval by recalling their ambassador from Israel. He emphasized the importance of foreign policy aligning with human rights and defending them vigorously. President Boric also urged Israel to return the Palestinian lands it has unlawfully occupied.
Colombia Joins the Protest
Colombian President Gustavo Petro has also taken a stand against Israeli violations towards the Palestinians. In solidarity with the victims, Colombia has recalled its ambassador to Israel for consultations. President Petro firmly stated that if Israel does not halt the massacre of the Palestinian people, Colombia cannot continue its diplomatic presence there.
Bolivia's Earlier Decision
Prior to Chile and Colombia's actions, the Bolivian government had already severed its diplomatic relations with Israel in protest against its aggression towards Gaza.
The Devastating Toll
Since October 7, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, along with other Palestinian resistance factions, have launched Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against the Israeli occupation. This has resulted in the loss of over 1,400 Israeli lives. The Palestinian resistance has also captured over 200 Israelis, aiming to exchange them for more than 6,000 Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli occupation prisons.
Meanwhile, Israel continues its relentless aggression, targeting homes, schools, hospitals, and mosques in Gaza. This has tragically led to the martyrdom of over 8,500 Palestinians, mostly women and children. Additionally, 12,000 people have been injured, entire neighborhoods destroyed, and a significant portion of the population displaced.
