Since its inception, Israel has realized that military control alone is not enough to ensure its survival; it requires a comprehensive strategy aimed at the consciousness of the Palestinians, working to undermine their faith in their cause and weaken their support for Palestinian resistance. Therefore, Israel aims in this war to reshape Palestinian identity, sow doubts within Palestinian society, and create a divide between the people and the resistance through media, economic, and political tools. So how does the Zionist entity wage this war? What are its methods? And how can it be confronted?
The essence of the popular incubator and its role in resistance.
The popular incubator is the local community that supports the resistance; politically, socially, and logistically, and grants it legitimacy. It consists of families and households that provide direct support to the resistors, as well as merchants and businesspeople who fund the resistance or provide resources, in addition to intellectuals and media figures who advocate for the Palestinian narrative, and youth and activists who organize popular movements.
Targeting the public supporters of the resistance.
The popular incubator plays a pivotal role in the continuity of resistance by providing the political and popular cover that prevents the occupation from isolating the resistance. Supporting the resistance on the ground through strikes, demonstrations, and protests, as well as supporting prisoners and the families of martyrs enhances the community's resilience in the face of repression. This also stimulates national identity through education and media. The Israeli strategies aimed at undermining the popular incubator on which Israel relies are based on several axes to dismantle the popular incubator for resistance. These include psychological and media warfare, distorting the image of the resistance, and claiming that it is the reason for economic suffering through siege and collective punishment. They portray it as serving personal interests, aiming to sow doubt within Palestinian society and describing the resistance as if it were a radical organization, linking it to global terrorism as justification for aggression against it.
Therefore, it utilizes all means to achieve its goals, such as using directed media to promote Israeli propaganda through Arab and international media, spreading rumors via social media platforms to undermine trust between the people and the resistance, and attempting to infiltrate the Palestinian electronic space with fake pages that disseminate misleading news, especially targeting national symbols in an effort to tarnish the image of political and field leaders by accusing them of corruption or ties to external agendas. Additionally, it involves the assassination of influential figures in media, politics, and resistance, as occurred with the leaders of the resistance from both Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and the Popular Front.

Economic pressure and collective sanctions.
The Israeli occupation state has always deliberately followed a policy of economic blockade on the popular base of the Palestinian resistance since its inception, particularly imposing a severe blockade on Gaza to create pressures on the population to push them to rebel against the resistance. This has taken several forms and methods, including reducing work permits for Palestinians within the Green Line to increase unemployment and poverty. On the other hand, it has prevented the transfer of funds from abroad to charitable organizations that support needy families. In addition, it has imposed sanctions on the families of resistance fighters, such as demolishing homes as a retaliatory measure against their families and revoking residency and work permits from the relatives of the resistance fighters, as well as working to close their bank accounts and confiscate their properties.
Enhancing internal division
There is no doubt that the occupying state has worked to exploit the division between Palestinian factions and to support one side at the expense of another to undermine national unity, create internal conflicts among political forces, support Palestinian movements opposed to resistance, and promote Palestinian figures who advocate coexistence instead of resistance.
Moreover, the funding of civil society organizations that adopt a neutral or anti-resistance discourse, along with exploiting the humanitarian dimension and aid, aims to link assistance to the abandonment of resistance. This is done by pressuring international institutions to prevent aid from reaching areas that support resistance. They have also supported alternative development projects that are under Israeli control. All of this has the ultimate goal of manipulating the people of Gaza through work permits, allowing thousands of Palestinians to work inside the state of Israeli occupation, and then suddenly closing the crossings to create a living crisis in order to use the permits as a political leverage against the resistance.
Means of confronting the 'Israeli' war of consciousness.
It is essential to reinforce national identity and public awareness, teach the true Palestinian history in Palestinian schools, and enhance cultural and artistic programs that consolidate national identity. On the other hand, it is necessary to develop resistant media and produce professional and global media content that counters Israeli propaganda and narratives. Moreover, social media platforms must be used effectively to expose Israeli lies, and investigative journalism should be strengthened to uncover the crimes of the occupation. Additionally, it is important to boost the resistance economy by supporting Palestinian products and boycotting Israeli goods. Most importantly, Palestinian agriculture and industry must be developed to reduce the economic dependency created by the Paris Economic Agreement.
Unity of the Palestinian ranks.
In light of the genocide against the Palestinian people and the ongoing efforts for displacement, it is essential to rise above the wounds and work on strengthening dialogue among Palestinian factions to end the internal political division. This requires the formation of a united national front against the occupation.
Historical Experiences in the Wars of Consciousness
There are historical experiences that must be learned from, perhaps the most important of which is South Africa's struggle against apartheid, and how the resistance in South Africa utilized media and economics to gain international support. There is also the Algerian revolution against French colonialism, where the French employed propaganda and psychological warfare, and how the resistance confronted it. Additionally, there is the Vietnamese experience against American occupation, and how the Vietnamese resistance relied on media and popular mobilization to thwart the American strategy.
The awareness war being waged by "Israel" is not merely media propaganda, but a systematic strategy aimed at destroying popular support for the resistance and sowing doubt and division within Palestinian society. Nevertheless, awareness of this war and its methods can fortify Palestinian society and enhance its resilience against the occupation through true national media, conscious education, and the promotion of national unity. In this way, it is possible to confront this war and preserve the spirit of resistance, which is the essence of the Palestinian struggle.
