London Protests
For the eighth week in a row, people in European cities and East Asia have been coming together to show their support for the Gaza Strip. They are demanding an immediate ceasefire.
In London, there were massive demonstrations calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. This happened after the British government refused to support a resolution about it in the UN Security Council.
Many human rights organizations, like the “Stop the War” coalition and the “Solidarity with Palestine” campaign, joined the demonstration.
The protesters hope that their continuous protests will make the government change its position and stop supporting Israel's war on Gaza.
Paris Protests
In Paris, there were also demonstrations denouncing the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza.
The participants in these demonstrations, who were part of associations defending Palestine, spoke out against the Israeli violations against the Palestinian people. They also criticized the international community for staying silent about the massacres.
They demanded an immediate ceasefire and the opening of crossings to provide humanitarian aid.
Indonesia Solidarity March
In the city of Jok Jakarta in central Java, thousands of Indonesians organized a solidarity march to support the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.
In a statement, the demonstrators expressed their disappointment with the weak position of the Arab world towards Palestine. They also criticized Western countries for having double standards when it comes to human rights and freedoms.
The protesters denounced American support for Israel and called for the prosecution of the occupation and its leaders in international courts.
They also urged people to continue supporting the Palestinians and boycott products and companies that support the occupation.
The Devastating War
Since October 7th, the Israeli occupation army has been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip. This war has resulted in the loss of 17,700 lives and left 48,780 people injured, most of them being children and women. The infrastructure has been severely damaged, leading to an "unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe" according to official Palestinian and UN sources.
